SSC offers training regarding the implementation of SIL classification, SIL verification and SIL maintenance. The objective of the workshops is to impart knowledge and skills. Participants exercise during the workshop with practical cases.
SIL classification is determining the risk of an accident scenario. The size of the required risk reduction is shown with a SIL level. For example ‘This overfill protection is SIL 2‘ means that the risk at least a factor of 100 should be reduced. The relevant security (for example, an overfill protection) must then satisfy the requirements of the particular SIL level.
SIL verification is an instrumental security that meets the requirements of the particular SIL level. SIL stands for Safety Integrity Level.
The SIL Maintenance workshop is only offered in Dutch.
